Samsung has announced the availability of its long-awaiting smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy Premier i9260. This handset will be launched in Taiwan this month and asking official price is 15,900 TWD that?s mean about $549. Previously, the Samsung Galaxy Premier GT-i9260 was introduced back in November last year and supposed to be available in December but it isn?t happen.
The Samsung i9260 Galaxy Premier has a 4.65-inch touchscreen Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. It provides a 1.9MP front-facing camera for video calls, an 8MP rear-facing camera with 1080p video recording and LED flash.
Running on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS with the latest TouchWiz UI, the Galaxy Premier boasts a 1.5GHz TI OMAP 4470 dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB / 16GB of onboard storage.
Dimensions of Galaxy Premier are 134.2 x 68 x 9 mm, and weighs 130 grams that a slightly smaller than the Galaxy S III smartphone.
Other features on this handset are MicroSD card slot, dual band Wi-Fi, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, HSPA, GPS with Glonass, and a 2,100 mAh battery.
Reportedly, the new smartphone will be available in white and grey versions. The Samsung Galaxy Premier grey edition is scheduled to arrive in February.
